Participants will identify different ways on how to use critical thinking and digital skills in civic education.

- The Concrit brochure
- Pens and paper
- Computers
- Powerpoint "Embedding Critical Thinking and Digital Skills into Project Work"

Duration[edit]

1 hour.

Step-by-step - what has to be done?[edit]

In small groups of 3 ask participants to look at
• Radio Vita
• The Mens Room
• Freedom (MOPS)
Which are case studies in the Concrit brochure and answer the following questions.

• How did the participants use critical thinking?
• What purpose did critical thinking have in the projects?
• How would the content of these projects have been affected if critical thinking wasn’t used?
30 mins discussion and note taking in small groups
30 mins to feedback into main group.

Learning Outcomes - which skills are addressed?[edit]

Participants will explore how to use critical thinking in civic education by looking at examples.

How do you check the outcomes are reached?[edit]

In small groups and main group discussions participants answered specific questions that encourage them to explore how critical thinking can be used in civic education project work. They also identified the role that critical thinking has within civic education project work.
